Buat Kamu yang Mau Coba Kreatif

For those of you who want to try being creative

Cameras are getting more and more sophisticated, their features are also becoming more complete. But behind all the comfort provided, it's not uncommon for us to become lazy and rely too much on features. It's not surprising if the results of our shots are just like that, and many of our imaginations end up being hampered because of the camera's features and functions.

So, this time we want to discuss ways to be more creative without being limited by the camera features you have by placing limits on the features. How to do?

1. Limit focal length

In other words, limit your use of zoom. Use a lens as if you were using a fixed lens, or if you have a fixed lens, you can try it, for example just shooting at 35mm or 50mm. If you use a zoom lens, you can stick duct tape on your camera so that the zoom cannot be used. If you forget to use zoom, it's safe because you have to remove the tape first to be able to use zoom. Don't forget to use duct tape that leaves the least residue, such as paper tape.

2. Create a frame without a view finder and live view

We are used to when we take a frame, we will see it in the view finder or LCD live view. You can try taking a frame without looking at both. High sensitivity is required to be able to get the frame as seen by the camera lens. This will train your creativity in seeing things, getting new perspectives. Sometimes we don't think about shooting from a certain angle just because we don't see that angle in our view finder or live camera view.

Usually people take photos of the Tokyo Tower looking up, but this photo was taken from a different angle, from the ground, so the composition is different.

3. Snap without trying first

In the era of film cameras, we couldn't see the photos until the roll of film was printed. Of course we will think carefully before pressing the shutter button whether the light and composition are right. Nowadays, you can easily press the shutter button, if it doesn't fit, move it a little more. By limiting this, you will train your sensitivity and be more careful before taking a photo.

You can turn off the image review feature in the camera settings or cover your LCD screen.
