Usually most photographers will take photos with focused and detailed photos on the main subject. But you can also make photos that are intentionally out of focus so they can give a fantasy impression.
You can try focusing on objects that are not important in the photo. Use a wide aperture to narrow the field of view is narrower and focus on elements in front of or behind the main subject. It is recommended to use manual focus so you can choose which parts you want to make out of focus.
With the main subject out of focus it can make the subject difficult to recognize. You can put a little focus on the subject so that it remains recognizable in shape and color but just enough out of focus to get that fantasy atmosphere.
