Dot pixel characteristics:
- Not contagious, dot pixels do not spread defects to other pixels
- It is individual, one dot pixel is not related to other dot pixels.
- There is little chance of expansion because the pixel size is always the same.
Several dot pixel conditions:
- Hot / Bright pixel: If the pixel is always on it cannot be turned off so it always displays a white dot.
- Dead pixel: If the pixel is completely dead and displays black.
- Stuck pixel: If one or two sub-pixels are completely on or off so they display colors such as red, blue, green.
